Apa, anya a lelátón

Úgy tűnik, nemcsak Nico Rosberget, hanem csapattársát, Kazuki Nakajimát is feszélyezi édesapja jelenléte a versenypályán.

A Williams német klasszisa nemrég udvariasan megkérte világbajnok felmenőjét, Keke Rosberget, hogy ezentúl csak a karosszékből kövesse figyelemmel a pályafutását, és Sepangban Satoru Nakajima is hasonló elbánásban részesült.

Az 55 éves japán veterán és felesége azután döntött úgy, hogy a helyszínen szorít Kazukinak, hogy a csemete Ausztráliában megszerezte első F1-es pontjait. 1987-ben Satoru is második nagydíján iratkozott fel először a pontszerzők listájára, szintén egy 6. hellyel.

A lámpalázas fiú azonban utálja, ha apja a garázsban ólálkodik, így szüleinek a sepangi lelátóról kellett végignéznie, hogy Kazuki egy defektet követően 17. helyre kormányozza a Williamst. Ezért nem járt pont, de a 23 éves versenyző rövid pályafutása során először mondhatta el magáról, hogy senkinek és semminek nem ment neki a futamon.

“Minél előbb el kell felejtenünk ezt a hétvégét. A gyenge időmérő után, két különböző stratégiával kezdtük meg a futamot. Nico egy, míg Kazuki két kiállásos taktikán volt.”

“A terv azonban összeomlott, mert Nico már az első körben elvesztette első vezetőszárnyát, míg Kazuki defektet kapott. Később problémánk volt Nico autójának üzemanyagrendszerével, ami miatt előrébb kellett hozni a kiállását, és több üzemanyaggal kellett köröznie.”

“Kazuki remekül versenyzett, folyamatosan lépett előre, a stratégia működött, azonban egy defekt miatt előrébb kellett hoznunk második kiállását. Kazuki később kicsúszott, és elég rossz állapotba kerültek az abroncsai.”

“A rajtrács hátuljáról agresszív stratégiával próbáltunk előretörni, és a rajt után javítottam is néhány helyet, de nehéz volt kényelmes előnyt felépíteni. A második szakaszban defektet kaptam, és korán kellett kereket cserélnem, ami nem volt ideális, mert így két rövid etap után egy hosszú utolsó etap várt rám. Ekkor már szenvedtem egy kicsit, és az egyik gyors kanyarban meg is pördültem, így ezután már csak arra koncentráltam, hogy célba érjek, és a motor kibírjon két versenyt.”

“From the back of the grid, we decided upon quite an aggressive strategy and I made up quite a few places from the start, but it was difficult to open up a comfortable gap. On the second stint, I had a puncture and had to stop very early, which was not ideal as I had to run two short stints and a long final one. I was struggling a little in the last stint and in a high speed corner I spun off, so after that I just wanted to concentrate on making it home to get two races on the engine.”

Nakadzsima Kazuki (20. rajtkocka): “Nehéz volt számomra a mai időmérő, az eredmények nagyon közel voltak egymáshoz, elég volt egy apró hiba, és már nem tudtam bekerülni a második harmadba. Mindenképpen a mezőny végéről fogok indulni [10 helyes rajtbüntetés kapott, mert az első versenyen nekiment Kubicának - a szerk.], ezért a célbaérés az elsődleges célom. A verseny alatt majd ha kell, átalakítjuk a stratégiát, ha esélyt látunk az előrelépésre. Mindenesetre nehéz verseny lesz.”

“It was a difficult qualifying and because it was tight on lap times, when I made one mistake, it stopped me progressing into Q2. I have a grid penalty for tomorrow in any case, so I want to have a consistent race and make sure I finish. “Elég forró nap volt! Természetesen kár érte, hogy délelőtt elszalasztottunk némi időt a problémánkkal, de mindazonáltal sikerült 15 mért kört futnom a délelőtti tréning utolsó 30 percében, szóval nem csúsztam le sok mindenről. A beállításokon még van mit csiszolni holnap, de a második edzésen folyamatosan javult és a 90 perc lejárta felé elkezdtem megtalálni az autó megfelelő egyensúlyát.”

“It was quite hot today! Of course it was a shame to miss some track time this morning with the problem we had, but nevertheless, I still managed to record fifteen timed laps in the last 30 minutes of the morning session, so I didn’t miss out on much. We still have to address a few things on the car tomorrow in terms of the set-up, but it improved throughout the second session and towards the end of the 90 minutes, I was starting to find a better balance.”

In the first session we had a clutch release bearing problem on Kazuki’s car. The mechanics did a really good job and turned this around quickly to minimise the time lost.

Malajzia-váró nyilatkozat

Kazuki Nakajima:

Firstly, we had a really good result in the opening Grand Prix in Australia and that’s motivated all of us. I’m going to have a ten place grid penalty for Malaysia so it’s going to be difficult for me, but I’m just going to concentrate on my race and do the best I can.

Sepang is a really nice track, it’s tough on the car and tyres, but we have a good chance and I have a good feeling. Like in Australia, temperatures will be extreme again, so it’s going to be another hard weekend for everyone. I’ll be heading to Malaysia straight away to get some training in and to make sure I’m as ready as I can be for the weekend.

Robert Kubica: Shit happens. What can I say?

Were you very frustrated?

RK: Racing is racing. Normally behind the safety car there is no racing but he made a mistake, it cost me a bit more than him but this is how it is. He missed his braking point, I think. We were very slow and he hit me.

Your version Kazuki? How did you see it?

Kazuki Nakajima: Yeah, it was a shame to have an accident and to hit Robert. Yes, I respect the stewards’ decision, so it is a shame to have the (10 place) grid penalty. We will start from there.

So you have a ten place grid penalty; I was reminded that the same thing happened in GP2 last year.

KN: Yeah, sometimes I have a bit of an excuse for some of last year’s accidents, but yeah, I think I was in the wrong place sometimes.

What were your feelings about last weekend, though? You had a fantastic result in the end.

KN: Yes, the result was fantastic and it was really good for the team to have this big boost. We are second in the Manufacturers’ championship at the moment and for me it was really great to score points in the first race of the season.

Were the general physical demands of that race tough on you? It’s going to be tough one here too.

KN: Yes, it was a tough race with high temperatures and many safety cars but at the end of the race I was OK. Here, I think the situation will be a little bit different with high humidity, but not as high temperatures as in Melbourne. I think I’ve done a good preparation. I’ve spent some days training in KL (Kuala Lumpur) – these last two days – so hopefully it’s going to work well here.

(Sumie Dan – DS Agency) Kazuki, after Melbourne, did you talk with your father about the race? What did he say to you?

KN: Yes, I did over a phone call. He was quite happy that I scored a point and I think before the race he said it might be an unusual race with lots of accidents. There were maybe more than he expected but yes it was like that.
