Golden Arse 

We had a podium’s worth of arses in Australia. In the bronze medal position is Nelson Piquet, for his lamentable attempt to get round Turn 1 on Lap 1, setting the sat nav on the Renault and driving straight to the point where the road turns.

In silver, that grumpy old git David Coulthard for threatening to kick a man – Felipe Massa – who is about as dangerous as an irritated lady boy with a set of heated tongs – and could pass for one too in the right light. At least Jean Todt thinks so.

But on the top step of the podium, a deserved winner. Rarely do we get an F1 driver who can lose two front wings in a race thanks to contact with two separate cars. That’s what we call spreading the joy around. Step forward Kazuki Nakajima a worthy Golden Arse recipient.
